Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- Designers of the State General Bureau of Design are playing a vanguard role in creating architectural designs to build more splendid monumental structures in greater numbers.
The Pyongyang City Design Institute and the Paektusan Institute of Architecture have established a system for analyzing and reviewing data on the world trend of architecture and intensified the technical study.
They are busy with a campaign of brains and research for completing designs of various projects in a peculiar way, including a 450-hectare greenhouse farm and vegetable science research center which are being built in Hadan-ri of Sinuiju City and Soho-ri of Uiju County in North Phyongan Province and 10 000 flats at the fourth stage in the Hwasong area.
Officials and designers of the Pyongyang City Planning and Designing Institute have conceived a new plan for the layout of buildings in the area of the construction of 10 000 flats at the fourth stage in the Hwasong area, and thus applied it.
The External Construction Design Institute gave all the units the assignments for designing regional-industry factories and completed in the shortest span of time the non-repetitive designs with local features which obtain optimum results.
Designers of different units are putting spurs to the creation of architectural designs to fulfill their mission and duty in the drive to continue ushering in the heyday of capital city construction and an era to bring changes to regions. -0-
