Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- The Surigae Table-Tennis Players Team under the Ministry of Electric Power Industry has made remarkable progress in training new reserve players.
After selecting players and coaches in a scientific and strict way and making advanced preparations for teaching and training, the team formally began training in February 2023.
It took the first place in the U-13 Women's Singles of the Table Tennis Championships held in 2024 and proved successful in the women's team table-tennis match of the DPRK Championships. It came first in the men's singles of the relevant category and second in the men's team event of the first table-tennis technical innovation contest in 2025 held in February.
According to experts, the young table tennis players of the team can emerge as the players capable of competing with the stars in the country in the future. -0-
