Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Unryul Mine in the DPRK strive to set new standards and records in the production of iron ore.
They overfulfilled their production plan for February. This means that they increased the production of iron ore 1.5 times as compared with the same period of last year.
The Chongnyon mine-lot has concentrated efforts on the stopes with large iron ore deposits while raising the utilization rate of striking rotary drills and other mining equipment and introducing advanced working methods to increase the per-hour output.
Miners in the Jungsan mine-lot have carried on the effective repair and maintenance of equipment while securing small tools and spare parts and displayed the collectivist spirit of one shift helping another.
Workers and technicians in charge of the earth-scraping have directed efforts to ensuring the effectiveness of large long-distance belt conveyor while inspecting and repairing equipment in a responsible manner to register the results of earth-scraping 1.3 times higher than the last year. -0-
