Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- Sowing rice seeds in nurseries began in rural areas of the DPRK.
Samchon, Unryul, Anak and other counties in South Hwanghae Province have ensured the amount of sowing and the right time to suit the characters of species and cultivation types, giving precedence to making of nursery beds and seed treatment.
Phyongsong and Kaechon cities and Pukchang and other counties in South Phyongan Province secured humus soil good for the growth of rice seedlings and nursery materials and have carefully covered seeds with effective mixture of soil and nutrients.
North Phyongan Province is registering high results in sowing every day by applying rational working methods and stirring up the zeal for collective emulation.
Agricultural workers in South Hamgyong Province are correctly ensuring the amount of sowing per phyong and the thickness of covering soil as required by technical regulations. -0-
