Commemorative Meeting Held

Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place on Saturday to mark the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's field guidance at the Ryangchaek Bearing Factory. Present there were Kim Chol U, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials and employees of the factory. Jong Un Nam, manager of the factory, made a report at the meeting. He noted that President Kim Il Sung visited the factory on March 23, 1975 ahead of its completion to clearly indicate the orientation and ways to be followed by it and give instructions on sprucing up the interior of the factory like a palace and its compound like a park. Chairman Kim Jong Il saw CNC equipment made by the efforts and technology of the factory and set forth important tasks for developing and producing new kinds of bearings and set it as a model of cultured way of production and life, the reporter said. He said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who is successfully carrying forward the noble intention of the President and the Chairman, formed a powerful construction force and turned the factory into a modern bearing production base, preferentially solving knotty problems. He said that the factory has over-fulfilled its production plan every year by pushing ahead with the mass technical innovation movement and the readjustment and reinforcement project for the past 50 years under the leadership of the Party, thus supplying enough bearings needed by various sectors of the national economy. The reporter called upon all officials and employees to add luster to the honor of the unit associated with exploits of the great leaders in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee and greet the 80th birthday of the WPK and its 9th Congress with proud labor successes.
