Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- In Kyongsong County, North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK, there is the Onpho Hot Spring that has been well-known as it is very good for human health and treatment.
According to an old record, this hot spring has been used by many people at least 500 years ago.
The area of this hot spring, located in a cozy valley surrounded by mountains, is very good for climatotherapy for its fine climate and thick forest. And it is a scenic place where the hot spring water swells in all seasons.
The Onpho Hot Spring is designated as a natural monument.
The main ingredients of the hot spring are simple silica and radon spring, which are efficacious for such diseases as chronic gastritis (hyperacidity), chronic enterocolitis, chronic bronchitis, slight diabetes, obesity, neuritis, neuralgia, trauma and operation sequelae, eczema and disorder of autonomic nervous system.
While guiding the project for newly building the Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp on the spot, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave instructions on further improving the service conditions and the treatment environment level so that the hot spring therapy can contribute to the promotion of people's health and their enjoyment of civilization.
Now, the construction is underway in this area to build a comprehensive cultural recreation centre, a medical service centre for the people, under the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-
