Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Youth and students in the DPRK held a meeting at the Youth League Hall on Monday to celebrate the 113th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung .
Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and youth and students.
Speakers at the meeting praised the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who ushered in the most glorious new era of Juche in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years and led the socialist cause to victory only with his outstanding ideology and rare leadership ability.
A lecturer of the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum said that the President liberated the country from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule through the protracted bloody anti-Japanese war and turned the DPRK into a socialist paradise where the people became masters.
The principal of Samhung Middle School said that the President personally chose the site of the school and named it "Samhung Middle School" though he was very busy after the liberation of the country and worked heart and soul to bring up the schoolchildren to be masters of the future who are knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy.
The head of a department of Kim Il Sung University told about the great personality of the President, who took a measure to build the university into a "pedigree farm" for training national cadres and brightly indicated the road to be followed by it, and about the warm loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who led the university in every aspect of its work to invariably preserve its revolutionary character and nature and provided apartment houses for educators without parallel in the world, touching a string in the participants' hearts.
The chairperson of the primary youth league committee of the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex ardently called for honoring the youth in the struggle for the prosperity of the country, always bearing deep in mind the noble intention of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who entrusted the youth with the construction of the largest-ever greenhouse farm and the vegetable science research centre while continuing the journey of devotion to provide the people with a more affluent life. -0-
