Joint National Meeting of KCU Organizations Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union organizations took place at Changdok School in the DPRK on April 14 to celebrate the 113th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung .

Attending it were students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, representatives of the KCU organizations in all provinces, schoolchildren in Pyongyang and pupils to be admitted into the KCU.

Present there on invitation were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, persons of merit and labor innovators in Pyongyang.

Prior to the meeting, the participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before the statue of Kim Il Sung at Changdok School and paid tribute to him.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report.

The reporter noted that the great Generalissimo, who provided the brilliant tradition of the Korean children's movement in the flames of the anti-Japanese war, clearly indicated the road ahead of the KCU and warmly led the KCU members to become true reserves who would shoulder the revolutionary cause of Juche.

He said that the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il took meticulous care of the KCU members so that they could prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries knowing the greatness of the leader and the value of the country and reliable pillars of the future equipped with knowledge, a good moral character and good health from their childhood.

The reporter said that a new heyday of the Korean children's movement is being opened up thanks to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who is training the KCU members into juvenile revolutionaries and young patriots who will shoulder the future of thriving Korea.

He called upon the KCU members to study hard under the slogan "Let us learn for Korea!" and become revolutionary talents equipped with versatile knowledge, high creative ability and strong physique.

An admission ceremony of the KCU took place at the meeting.

Led by Choe Tong Myong, the pupils joining the KCU took an admission oath.

The pupils who joined the KCU made the first greetings of the KCU, responding to the slogan "Let us be always ready for socialist country!"
