Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, is turning into a world-class ideal city and a paradise of happiness for the people enjoying a new life and a new civilization of socialism, fully demonstrating its unique majesty and reputation with the spirit of the DPRK racing against time and dynamic advance of the times full of great changes.

Thanks to the capital city construction strategy adopted and set forth by the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the scientific and energetic guidance of the great Party Central Committee, modern skyscrapers and high-rise apartment houses embodying an ideal harmony of architectural formative and artistic beauty and advanced civilization and commercial and public catering facilities with strong symbolic and specific characters have been built majestically to form a new large architectural group in the Hwasong area and are ready to greet the third auspicious event of inauguration along with the greatest April holiday of the nation.

The eye-opening reality, in which another modern urban quarter has been created to demonstrate the radical development of Juche-oriented architecture and the change in civilization and efflorescence after the emergence of Songhwa Street, Hwasong Street, Rimhung Street and Jonwi Street in just 4 years since the first blasting for the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang was heard, is a brilliant fruition of the transparent outlook on the people and outstanding leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un , who regards the people as his God and devotes his all to their well-being, and a monumental picture showing the spirit of uninterrupted revolution peculiar to the WPK knowing no satisfaction and end in the work for the people and the dynamic advance of our powerful state.

The inauguration ceremony of 10 000 flat at the third-stage in the Hwasong area took place with splendor on April 15.

The venue of the ceremony was full of excitement and joy of the military and civilian builders, who had recorded a history of great change in the Hwasong area year after year through a stubborn struggle upholding the cherished desire of our Party with miracles of creation, and citizens who would happily move into the new modern apartment houses.

When Kim Jong Un appeared at the venue of the ceremony, fireworks were displayed and thunderous cheers of "Hurrah!" resounded far and wide.

All the participants raised enthusiastic cheers, looking up to the outstanding revolutionary, great master of creation and construction and benevolent father who opened up a new history of eye-opening changes in the capital city of Pyongyang through the great drive for creation, the first of its kind after the founding of the state, and ushered in the greatest heyday of prosperity for the people to enjoy an affluent and civilized life full of happiness.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and other senior Party and government officials, officials of the Cabinet, armed forces organs, ministries and national agencies, builders and working people in Pyongyang.

Saying that the capital city construction plan decided by the Eighth Party Congress has been proved fruitful in the fourth year, too, to greet the moment of its grand ceremony of presenting another 10 000 flats to Pyongyang citizens in the Hwasong area, he warmly congratulated the citizens of all social strata who became masters of a modern new street and new houses, upon the authorization of the Party and the government, and extended thanks to all the builders and workers and officials in the field concerned and supporters who have splendidly translated the high level of urban culture intended by the Party into a reality, not leaving it as a future project on a blueprint.

He said that the third-stage construction in the Hwasong area has brought to light the perfect features of the Hwasong area as a centre and model capable of leading the existing areas of the capital city to civilization and efflorescence by securing the political, economic and cultural functions befitting a full-fledged administrative district in conformity with the plan and principle consistently maintained by the Party during the eighth term of the Party Central Committee. And this is a development truly meaningful enough to be called the birth of a new urban district making modernized Pyongyang of today present a striking contrast with itself in the past which had undergone change of several decades since the founding of the state, he added.

Thanks to the great thought and efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who personally plans the changes in all fields of the economy, culture, national defence and all domains covering the capital and regional areas and clearly indicates the guidelines for firmly preserving and developing the popular and revolutionary character of Juche-oriented architecture while showing much care for the well-being of the people and prosperity of our socialist system, everything changes and a new era of prosperity and rejuvenation hastening the future is opened up on this land, he said, adding that the socialist ideal land wonderfully built in the Hwasong area is a historic monument which makes the Korean people keenly feel the happy life and rosy future of our state under the guidance of the great leader.

Saying that our Party and government will, in the future, too, always continue to push forward with the construction work to give fuller play to the advantages of our style of socialist system and promote the change and development of the whole country, thus actively promoting and steadily improving the people’s satisfaction with a new, cultured and wealthy life, he called for striving more courageously for the future of the capital city of Pyongyang which will thrive and become civilized year after year and for the eternal prosperity of the best country in the world, under the milestone of epoch-making changes in the new era indicated by the Party Central Committee.

Fireworks were displayed and balloons flew at the venue of the inauguration ceremony, which witnessed another historic scene to be immortally recorded in the history of struggle of the great WPK continuously and vigorously making a sacred journey for the promotion of well-being of the beloved people by erecting monumental edifices symbolic of the era of great change one after another, to beautifully decorate the Hwasong area.

Songs in praise of the times filled with strong stamina and ardent desire of all the Korean people to devote their all to the building of an ideal society where socialist civilization is in full bloom, upholding the dignity and mightiness of our state with their steadfast spirit of pioneering and patriotic will, resounded throughout the venue of the ceremony to make the participants feel deep emotion and joy.

The songs praising the great era of Kim Jong Un , in which the capital city of the revolution, a heroic city that newly emerged by breaking through the debris after the war and glorified the annals of creation and miracles with the eye-opening Pyongyang speed, has reached a new stage of civilization and efflorescence by undergoing more majestic and splendid change beyond recognition every year, added to the joy of the inauguration.

The national anthem of the great DPRK, our socialist country where dreams and ideals of the people are being translated into reality and which upholds the most prominent great man as its leader and father, was solemnly played and fireworks were displayed in the nocturnal sky of Pyongyang, the city of boundless happiness and glory, to present a sea of flames.

The venue of the ceremony turned into a crucible of excitement with cheers of "Hurrah!" bursting out for Kim Jong Un again.

Families of a teacher and a worker presented bouquets of flowers to him who put forward ordinary working people as masters of the gorgeous socialist ideal street, in reflection of the unanimous gratitude of the citizens of the capital city and other people across the country.

Kim Jong Un said that he was sorry to provide the modern apartment houses only now and that he was firmly determined to take upon himself more work for the people while seeing the citizens full of emotion and joy today. And he wished them happy life in the new houses in good health.

He met and encouraged military and civilian labor innovators who are making contributions to the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang, true to the Party's policy on the capital city construction.

He said with love and trust that thanks to the patriotic and elite army of construction carrying out the Party's plan unconditionally like the innovators, the gun-report of victory in the implementation of the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK will be heard first in the Hwasong area and a new era of prosperity of Pyongyang will be given steady continuity.

He warmly waved his hand for a long time to citizens of the capital city expressing boundless gratitude in tears of emotion, and wished good fortune to all families to settle in a new splendid street.

All the participants broke into enthusiastic cheers with their iron-willed pledge to invariably go along the road of loyalty and patriotism for the great Comrade Kim Jong Un , for the eternal prosperity of our great state and for the rosy future of our great capital.

The completion of the 10 000 flats at the third-stage in the Hwasong area is a great demonstration of the true picture peculiar to our prosperous and powerful state, which is created by the outstanding leadership of the great Party Central Committee guiding socialist Korea to the peak of prosperity and the patriotic strength of our people single-mindedly rallied close around the Party, and an encouraging great event that further livens up the spirit of all-people advance toward the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK and the Ninth Party Congress with redoubled fighting spirit and confidence. -0-
