Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China held celebrations on the occasion of the 113th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung , the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation.

The GAKC, its affiliated organizations, organizations of Koreans in China and compatriots in China laid flower baskets before the statue of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin on April 15 and paid tribute to him.

The GAKC held a meeting at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin to celebrate the 113th birth anniversary of Comrade Kim Il Sung .

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok, vice-chairperson and other officials of the GAKC, representatives of its affiliated organizations, senior officials of organizations of Koreans in China, compatriots, officials of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang and DPRK citizens working in three northeastern provinces of China.

The meeting was attended by the director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Provincial People's Government of China, a vice-mayor of the Jilin City People's Government, the director of its Foreign Affairs Office and the secretary of the party committee of Yuwen Middle School in Jilin.

The reporter praised the President as a legendary hero of anti-Japanese war who embarked on the road of revolution in his teens and accomplished the historic cause of national liberation by defeating Japanese imperialism and an ever-victorious iron-willed commander and peerless hero who led the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists' armed invasion to victory and defeated the two formidable imperialist countries in one generation.

She said that the President turned the DPRK into an invincible power demonstrating its dignity with independent politics, self-supporting economy and self-reliant national defence and performed undying feats for socialism and the cause of global independence.

The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was successfully carried forward and developed by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and is now further developing under the wise leadership of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un , she said.

Saying that the future of the DPRK is always bright and rosy thanks to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un , she stressed that members of the GAKC would invariably cherish patriotism for the prosperity and development of the great motherland and faithfully uphold the revolutionary leadership of the respected Marshal.

Then followed an art performance and a reception.

A meeting for adopting a congratulatory letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was held at the conference hall of the GAKC in Shenyang City, China on April 13.

Meanwhile, colorful events were held at the Zhongnan Regional Association of the GAKC and other affiliated organizations. -0-
