Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- A passing-on technique meeting for introducing Samjiyon-style potato farming method was held at the Junghung Farm in Samjiyon City, Ryanggang Province of the DPRK.
The Samjiyon-style potato farming method created under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is an advantageous farming method for raising potato yield and quality by applying the high-yielding virus-free potato seed, scientific soil improvement, prevention of damage from moisture, extermination of epidemics and fertilization technology suited to the natural and geographical features and climatic and soil conditions of Samjiyon City.
The passing-on technique meeting, attended by officials of agricultural guidance organs in Jagang Province and other provinces, introduced the advantages of new high-yielding potato seeds with a large amount of dry materials and high per-hectare yield.
There was a discussion on scientific and technological issues arising in potato farming in keeping with the period and season.
The meeting also dealt with the issues of over-fulfilling the potato production plans by introducing the Samjiyon-style potato farming method at the potato farming units. -0-
