Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people across the DPRK out in the drive for implementing the regional development policy of the Workers' Party of Korea have devoted themselves to creating forests of raw materials.
South Phyongan Province planted more than 1.6 million trees including pine-nut tree, Evodia daniellii Benn and oil-bearing chestnut tree in the areas of one thousand and hundreds of hectares.
Officials and working people in North Phyongan Province made devoted efforts to creation of forests of oil-bearing trees and paper raw materials.
South Hwanghae Province planted trees in 2 500-odd hectares of raw material forests.
Working people in South Hamgyong Province introduced advanced tree-planting method and worked in each process as required by technical norms, thus creating conditions favorable for ensuring the survival rate.
In other areas too, many trees were planted in raw material forests in spring. -0-
