One day in July 1976, President Kim Il Sung called an official in the public service sector.

After exchanging greetings with the official, the President said that he had made a study of the ordering list of the daily necessities made by officials, met with persons who would use them and heard their opinions, and that he was going to discuss the matter together with the official that day.

And the President gave the official the ordering list of the daily necessities.

The list was worked out according to the tasks given by the President to the official at a meeting on the issue of light industry.

At the meeting that day, the President said that when one knows well what daily necessities and how much of them are required for every household and person a year, one can properly produce and supply them, and gave the official the task of making the ordering list of daily necessities according to regions, strata and ages.

The official turned over the pages of the list and saw that ten-odd kinds of daily necessities including household hygrothermograph were newly written on the list.

Looking up to the President, who was devoting precious time even to such small daily necessities as hygrothermograph, though he was busy with the overall work of the Party and the state, the official felt again his noble outlook on the people. -0-
