As a standard pharmacy is being established in one district after another in Pyongyang, the Pothonggang District Medical Supplies Management Station has opened Pothonggang Pharmacy.
The two-storeyed pharmacy is divided into sections for selling, recommending medicinal herbs, storing medical supplies and others. It has a guide map informing the visitors of the contents of service, usage of medicines and contraindications, as well as a room for preparing medicines, analysis laboratory and consultation room. As they are equipped with real-time temperature monitoring system, its medicine stores have full conditions for storing medical supplies.
The pharmacy can provide the visitors with accurate, convenient and safe service with regard to their health promotion and sale of medical supplies.
It also strives to improve medical service. It promptly and accurately supplies emergency cases and other patients with medicines in close contact with district hospitals and polyclinics.
It also offers kind consultation to the visitors so that they can have good medical knowledge and select correct medicines they need. The room for preparing medicines makes decoctions on demand, earning it popularity.
Pak Hyon Hui living in Sojang-dong in Pothonggang District said that her husband was cured of sequela of cold after taking a decoction made with Lonicera japonica Thunb and other medicinal herbs.
Though it has not been long since it started operation, it is visited by many people.
