There are some premature babies among newborns. They are born between 7 to 9 months after their mothers got pregnant. For this reason, their body weight is abnormally light, their hearts, lungs and other organs do not function properly and their breathing is unstable.
The medical workers at baby department No. 2 of Pyongyang Maternity Hospital devote all their sincerity to such babies when they are born.
Shortly ago, Yun Mi Hyang living in Waudo District in Nampho gave birth to a premature baby, all of whose life indexes were abnormal. Chief Han Un Sun and doctors and nurses of the department sat up several nights to treat the baby. Their scientific treatment and sincere devotion saved the baby from the jaws of death.
They are also so skillful that they can decide the health status of a baby after they listen to the sound of its breathing. They often say that a doctor of a baby department should be versed not only in internal medicine and surgery but also the realms related with anesthesia.
Thanks to their devoted efforts, premature babies are cured.
