Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries are persistently resorting to indoctrination of militarist ideas, challenging the trend of the times and history.
The Japanese chief executive offered Sakaki trees to the Yasukuni Shrine on April 21 on the occasion of the spring ancestral rite day.
Afterwards, about 70 Dietmen belonging to the "Association of Dietmen for visiting Yasukuni Shrine", the supra-party Dietmen's federation, thronged to the shrine.
The issue of visiting the Yasukuni Shrine is a touchstone of assessing the attitude and stand of the Japanese authorities towards aggression and war.
The Japanese reactionaries are making it a rule and "tradition" to visit the shrine every year on the occasions of spring and autumn ancestral rite days, the day of defeat and so on and offer tribute to it. This is a vivid manifestation of their sinister intention to invariably and deeply implant the poison of militarism in the whole area of the archipelago with the shrine as the origin.
What merits serious attention is the fact that the positive spread of war and fascist culture through the visit to the Yasukuni Shrine is being conducted in parallel with the reckless moves of the present Japanese authorities rushing toward the perfection of a war state while clamoring for "steady bolstering of defense capabilities" since they took office.
Being stepped up at the final stage are such legal, institutional and military preparations for invading the continent as the formation of the "integrated operation command" leading the ground, maritime and air "Self-Defense Forces" in contingency, the deployment of U.S.-made intermediate-range missiles and home-made long-range missiles designed for "counterattack capability" and persistent revision of constitution.
The war hysterics for aggression frequently going off at any time by inviting foreign forces under the pretexts that "the creation of Asian version of NATO is indispensable" and "European Atlantic Ocean and the Indo-Pacific are inseparable in guaranteeing security" are driving the security environment on the Korean peninsula and in the region to the worst phase.
As a result, the reinvasion of Japan, which has systematically and extensively pushed forward with its political and military rearmament for decades since its defeat, is approaching as the reality, not expectation.
No one can vouch that the faithful "grave keepers" of militarism obsessed by aggression and revenge will not repeat the bloody genocide of the past just like their ancestors.
The road to the Yasukuni Shrine is the road to militarization, which will only precipitate the ruin of the whole Japan.
The samurai descendants' ambition will push the archipelago forever into the "grave". -0-
