Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry and a military expert highly praised the combat sub-units of the armed forces of the DPRK for making a great contribution to annihilating the Ukrainian army which invaded the territory of Russia. On April 26, Valery Gerassimov, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, reported to President Vladimir Putin that the operations for liberating the Kursk area to repel the adventurous invasion by the Ukrainian authorities were victoriously concluded. Service personnel of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea participated in the operations for liberating Kursk Region under Article 4 of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership, she said, adding: The solidarity shown by the DPRK friends proves that the bilateral relations of the two countries are at a high ally level. We are convinced that the relations of the two countries will grow stronger in the future, too. A new page was recorded in the glorious history of militant friendship between the Russian people and the DPRK people. The combatants of the Korean People's Army shed blood, fighting in the same trench shoulder to shoulder with Russian officers and men in Kursk Region. The combatants of the Korean People's Army made a great contribution to liberating Russia's land from the enemy occupiers. Alexandr Stepanov, a military expert and senior researcher at the institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences, expressed his views in an interview with TASS: The Ukrainian army failed to achieve its goal for building a strategic bridgehead that could pose a threat to the depths of Russian territory by continuing its attack. It should be specially mentioned that the Korean People's Army made a substantial and great contribution to liberating the territory of Russia within the scope of the strategic partnership established by the bilateral treaty. This tells that Comrade Kim Jong Un, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Pyongyang set an example of genuine alliance in the common struggle to cope with the neo-Nazi terrorist threat. The Russian military expert also stressed that the contribution of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to victory has already been recorded in the history of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
