Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- The 23rd Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair opened with due ceremony at the Central Youth Hall in the DPRK on Monday.
Presented to the fair, held under the theme of "For the common development and prosperity", were such excellent products as electronic appliances, building materials, medicines, light industrial goods, foodstuffs and daily necessities produced by more than 110 enterprises and companies of the DPRK, Russia, China, Myanmar, Mongolia, Bangladesh and Thailand including the Korean Kaesong Koryo Insam Trading Company the Pugang Pharmaceutical Company, the Songdo Footwear Economic Cooperation Co., Ltd and the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory
A speech was made at the opening ceremony.
The speaker stressed that it is the consistent external economic policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to expand external economic relations with different countries and regions of the world on the principle of complete equality and mutual benefit and continue to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
He declared the fair open, convinced that it would mark a significant occasion in developing foreign trade, promoting friendship between countries and expanding economic relations. -0-
