Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held at various units in Kangwon Province of the DPRK to mark the 60th anniversary of the field guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Present at the meetings were Paek Song Guk, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and officials and working people of relevant units.
There were commemorative reports at the meetings.
The reporters referred to the fact that the President and the Chairman gave field guidance at the Munphyong Smeltery, the Songdowon Fishery Station, the Phochon Farm in Hoeyang County, the Songbuk Branch Farm of the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm, the Songdowon Pleasure Park Management Office, the Songdowon Hotel, etc. in May 1965.
The President and the Chairman visited the Munphyong Smeltery to indicate the orientation and ways for raising the lead and zinc extraction rate through proper equipment management and took measures for the health of workers and for providing them with good living conditions.
At the Songdowon Fishery Station, they solved problems arising in fishing and processing. And while learning about farming at the Phochon Farm in Hoeyang County, the Songbuk Branch Farm of the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm and others, they led the work to create and generalize the sub-workteam management system, the type of production organization and management method of Korean style.
Going round the Songdowon Pleasure Park Management Office and the Songdowon Hotel, they made sure that the coastal scenic spot Songdowon is built into a pleasure ground for the people and a world-class tourist resort and showed deep loving care and trust to the officials and workers so that they fulfill their mission and duty as servants of the people.
The reporters referred to the progress made in the development of the relevant units over the past 60 years in hearty response to the tasks set forth by the President and the Chairman during their on-site guidance.
They called upon all the officials and working people to glorify the leadership exploits of the Party forever and unite as one around the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to fulfill their responsibility and duty in the struggle to implement the decisions of the Plenary Meeting of the WPK Central Committee. -0-
