Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- Agricultural officials and workers in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK and those helping the farmers have transplanted the rice seedlings in thousands of hectares of paddy fields.
Anak, Samchon and Pyoksong counties give priority to growing rice seedlings at different stages and fulfill their daily plans while taking the weather conditions into full account.
Agricultural workers in the counties of Paechon and Kangryong, who have applied an advanced rice-seedling growing method, are pushing ahead with the rice-transplantation in keeping with features of different kinds of rice seedlings and the state of the fertility of rice paddies.
Farms in Haeju City and Sinchon County are bringing about good results according to daily plans and the ones for different rice fields.
Ongjin and Jaeryong counties give precedence to the repair and maintenance of farm machines of various kinds and enhance the responsibility and role of tractor drivers, rice-transplanting machine operators and seedling suppliers in order to ensure both the quality and quantity of farm work.
Unryul and Songhwa counties are concentrating all their efforts and means on rice-transplanting while taking measures to secure water resources and operate pumping power-driven equipment on a normal basis.
Farms in the counties of Unchon, Yonan, Chongdan and Thaethan carry on the work for removing the young rice plants from the seedbeds and carrying them according to careful plans. -0-
