Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) across the DPRK are greeting the fourth anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's important letter sent to the participants in the Eighth Congress of the GFTUK.

In his historic letter, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un indicated tasks and ways for the trade union to fulfill its responsibility and duty as an organization for ideological education in the struggle to usher in a new surge in socialist construction.

True to the important tasks set forth in the letter, trade union organizations at all levels have intensified the socialist patriotic movement and revolutionary mass movement through a powerful ideological offensive and added momentum to the general advance for implementing the decision of the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea over the past four years.

The Central Committee of the GFTUK concentrated its ideological work on making all its officials and members further glorify the honor of the heroic Kim Il Sung - Kim Jong Il working class and successfully play their role as vanguard fighters of self-reliance and standard-bearers of creation in the struggle to implement the Party's decisions.

In the course of this, a fundamental change was made in the fighting spirit and mettle of the members of the union, and those who embodied the spirit of defending the leader with their very life were produced on the road of defending the prestige of the Party in every way.

The mental world of the working class has been remarkably developed, and many trade union organizations across the country had the honor of model primary organizations of loyalty.

The revolutionary mass movement which proved its advantages and vitality in the annals of the revolution turned into the process of ideological mobilization and motivation, leading to labor achievements conducive to the economic development and the improvement of the people's living.

Over 800 units won the "Lathe No.26" Model Machine Prize and many factories, enterprises, workshops and workteams were awarded the title of "Lathe No.26" Model Machine Unit

The uplifted enthusiasm of the workers and trade union members for studying hard regarding the sci-tech learning space as a school ground in the workplace increased the number of technicians and skilled workers possessed of technical knowledge and skills of more than one level higher and more than 670 units across the country won the title of model sci-tech learning space. -0-
