Song and dance performance given to celebrate 70th founding anniversary of Chongryon

The song and dance performance "Always Shine, Our Chongryon" was given at the packed theatre in Tokyo Metropolis of Japan on the 27th in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).
It was appreciated by Chairman of the Central Standing Committee Ho Jong Man and other senior officials of Chongryon, chairpersons of the Kanto Regional Headquarters of Chongryon, leading officials of the central organizations and business firms, and Korean compatriots and students in Japan.
Invited to enjoy the performance were advisers to the Central Standing Committee, headquarters, central organizations and business firms of Chongryon, those with honorary titles and other meritorious persons, and patriotic traders and manufacturers.
Also invited there were members of diplomatic missions of Russia, China and other countries in Japan, the Secretary General of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, co-representatives of the Japan-DPRK Solidarity National Network, a member of the House of Representatives under the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan and other political, cultural and media personages in Japan.
The performance was given by members of the Kumgangsan Opera Troupe and regional song and dance groups, members of the Union of Korean Writers and Artists in Japan, and Korean compatriots of various circles and students.
It started with playing of the national anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the orchestral music "Always Shine, Our Chongryon" depicting the brilliant history of Chongryon. Put on the stage were various items including the chorus and dance "We Have a Lot of Pride", the kayagum ensemble "Under the Sky of a Foreign Land" and the national dance "Janggu Dance".
The performance was loudly applauded by the audience as it pulsated with their ardent admiration for the peerlessly great men and their warm love for the homeland and represented the national emotion.
Appreciating the performance, members of foreign diplomatic missions in Japan and Japanese figures said they were greatly impressed and added that Chongryon is the only organization of compatriots which conducts the patriotic movement abroad for 70 years under the flag of the DPRK, holding the great leader in high esteem with loyalty generation after generation.
