Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- It has been 72 years since the creation of the immortal masterpiece "Song of Best Wishes".
The masterpiece is the song of loyalty, in which Chairman Kim Jong Il sang the praises of the absolute truth that good health and safety of President Kim Il Sung precisely mean the happiness of the Korean people, the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the rosy future of Korea.
On June 1, 1953, the Chairman wrote a letter carrying his boundless yearning and earnest wish for good health of the President who was leading the Fatherland Liberation War to victory, shouldering the destiny of the country and the people.
After sending the letter, he wrote a poem with the content of the letter and had sung the song in a quiet tone whenever he was yearning for the father.
One day in May 1961 when the Chairman was conducting a revolutionary activity at Kim Il Sung University, he dropped in at a kindergarten close to the construction site for expanding the Wasandong-Ryongsong road, together with students who participated in the project.
That day he sang the song, deeply recollecting the fact that he wrote the letter of best wishes to the President who was always on the road to the front during the Fatherland Liberation War.
The Chairman said to the students wrapped in great emotion that he did not give a title to this song and, if it is imperative to give the title to it, he would like to name it "Song of Best Wishes".
The immortal masterpiece carrying the desire of the Chairman for the safety of the President is resounded from generation to generation as the song of loyalty telling the truth that eternal victory lies in defending the leader unto death. -0-
