Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) – A vigorous campaign is launched in the DPRK to bring about a revolution in public health in the new era in order to promote the overall public health.

The Pyongyang General Hospital, which has been built as a world-famous medical service center on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River in the capital city, is on the eve of its opening. And the modern hospitals in Kangdong County of Pyongyang Municipality, Ryonggang County of Nampho Municipality and Kusong City of North Phyongan Province on a demonstration basis this year according to a new regional development policy are under construction on a full scale and the preparations for their operations are being stepped up.

Thanks to the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to make the people enjoy the benefits of modern medicine to their heart's content, many modern public health facilities have been built on this land for the past ten-odd years to contribute to protecting the people's lives and promoting of their health.

The hospital village without parallel in the world has appeared in the Munsu area of Pyongyang and the Samjiyon City Hospital was built in Ryanggang Province, the northern part of the country, as the first entity which shows the outlook on socialist development of our style, to give play to its vitality.

Pharmaceutical factories, medical supplies factories, disease prevention facilities and standard pharmacies which are of great significance in promoting the people's health and taking preventive and curative medical care for them were built in different parts of the country.

Kim Jong Un , who has aspired after the good health of the people across the country, included the construction of modern health facilities in essential projects of the regional development policy for the improvement of the health of the regional people. And he personally attended a groundbreaking ceremony of the Hospital and the Leisure Complex in Kangdong County for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy in February and dug the first spadeful of earth to signal the start of the construction.
