A ceremony of launching destroyer of the Navy of the Korean People's Army was held at the Rajin Shipyard on June 12.
When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue of the ceremony where the up-to-date multi-mission destroyer is majestically moored, all the participants raised stormy cheers for him.
There was a ceremony of greeting him.
Kim Jong Un reviewed the colours of honour of the Navy of the KPA and its guard of honour.
He conferred the ensign of destroyer "Kang Kon" on the commanding officers of the East Sea Fleet of the Navy of the KPA.
He met to encourage the scientists, technicians and workers in the field of warship-building industry who rendered services to building and restoration of the destroyer.
He made a commemorative speech.
He awarded commemorative copper coins to major commanding officers of the destroyer and had a photo session with the officers and seamen who will serve in the destroyer against the "Kang Kon", which will shine in the history of army building forever.
He also met workers, scientists, technicians, skilled workers and officials in the field of shipbuilding industry such as the Chongjin and Rajin shipyards that contributed to building the warship and had a picture taken with them.
