Venezuela Slams U.S. Inhumane Crime

Date: 15/06/2025 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

The foreign minister of Venezuela recently exposed that Venezuelans in the U.S. are victims of systematic human rights violations, being arbitrarily detained, separated from their families and transferred to concentration camps in third countries.

Prior to this, the Venezuelan foreign ministry published a statement saying that it had directly notified the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights 6 months ago of the fact that 250-odd Venezuelans forcibly banished by the U.S. were imprisoned in El Salvador, however, only conspiratorial silence has been kept. It claimed that the High Commissioner is keeping silent on the abuses committed by certain governments and criticized such conduct as unacceptable double standards.

The permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN also denounced the actions of the U.S. and El Salvador against more than 200 Venezuelan immigrants in El Salvador, denying them judicial assistance of any type, and furthermore, mediating an exchange of money for each one of the kidnapped Venezuelans.

The Venezuelan government condemned the escalating human rights violations of the U.S., such as the political use of its migrants as hostages in the war against Venezuela, and announced its stand to keep on demanding justice.
