Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Many units in Pyongyang Municipality of the DPRK won the Three-Revolution Red Flag and the Honored Red Flag in the first half of the year.
As a result, the units which won the Three-Revolution Red Flag and the Honored Red Flag nearly doubled as compared with the same period of last year.
The Munsu Foodstuff Factory and the Phyongchon Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory improved the quality of foodstuff and efficacy of Koryo medicines and fulfilled their national economic plans every year, thus winning the Thrice Three-Revolution Red Flag.
The Taedonggang Battery Factory, the Pothonggang Footwear Factory and the Pyongyang Beer Factory have produced workshops which won the Thrice Three-Revolution Red Flag in the course of putting production lines on a modern basis through a mass technical innovation movement.
The Pyongyang Municipal Power Transmission and Distribution Station and the Pyongyang Optical Fiber Cable Factory were awarded the Three-Revolution Red Flag and the Twice Three-Revolution Red Flag respectively as they put the electricity supply and management on a scientific and IT basis and made a stride forward in the production of optical fiber cables.
Among the units that won the Twice Three-Revolution Red Flag were the workteam No.3 of the Jungdan Vegetable Farm and the vegetable workteam No.3 of the Namsa Farm in Rangnang District.
The Pyongyang Bag Factory and the Mangyongdae District Mushroom Farm took the lead in carrying out the national economic plans, establishing the cultured practice in production and life and conducting mass sports activities and thus won the Three-Revolution Red Flag.
Various units in the public health and commercial sectors in the municipality won the Three-Revolution Red Flag in the course of conducting the medical treatment for residents and improving the service environment.
The Twice Red Flag was awarded to Sanop Senior Middle School in Songyo District, Sinwon Primary School in Pothonggang District, Janggyong Senior Middle School and Wasan Primary School in Sosong District which are increasing the number of the October 8 Model Professors and steadily improving the abilities of students. -0-
