Great Life Brilliant with Devotion for Country and People

Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The revolutionary career of President Kim Il Sung was the life of the popular leader shining with devotion for the country and its people. The number of units the President visited from the days immediately after the liberation of Korea to the last period of his great life is more than 20,600 and the total length of the course of his field guidance is over 578,000 km. He continued his field guidance to find himself among the people at factories, rural areas, fishing villages, underground faces, etc., saying that he was most pleased in his lifetime when he was with the people. Instead of visiting his old home in Mangyongdae which he had never forgotten during the anti-Japanese war, he visited the then Kangson Steel Plant by passing through the fork of Mangyongdae right after the national liberation and aroused its workers to build a new country. He headed for the Kangnam Ceramic Factory right after getting down the mass rally platform celebrating the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. Afterwards, he visited various units to arouse the people to postwar reconstruction. Saying that the country would be relieved if it had 10,000 more tons of steel, he put forward the working class of the Kangson Steel Plant in the vanguard of a great revolutionary upswing and ushered in a new era of creation and leap forward, the Chollima age, on this land. The Chongsanri Spirit and Chongsanri Method, the superior idea of guiding the masses and the method of leading them, and the Taean work system, the Juche-oriented economic management system, were the great political mode and precious wealth created by him during his field guidance. The era of great prosperity, in which the socialist system was established in 1958 and the socialist industrialization was realized in a brief period of 14 years, could be ushered in thanks to his wise leadership. He said in the last days of his life that he always believed in the people, struggled for them and found himself among them, adding that he would always be with them in the future, too. Thanks to the devotion and efforts of the President who continued his field guidance for the country and its people all his life, finding his best worthwhile life and pleasure, the DPRK could demonstrate its might as a socialist state with invincible power.
