Great change in agricultural production brought about by rural revolution programme in new era

The new era of rural rejuvenation ushered in by the great Workers' Party of Korea witnesses the great change in the direction of agricultural production of the country and further strengthened material and technical foundations guaranteeing the sustainable and stable growth.
The Party Central Committee set it as the basic task of rural development strategy to increase the agricultural production and completely solve the food problem of the country, made a crucial decision to boldly change crop distribution and powerfully promote the rice and wheat farming, and dynamically led the struggle for its implementation, opening up a new history of rich wheat and barley harvest.
The implementation of the policy on changing the grain production structure advanced by the WPK in the programme for the rural revolution in the new era was powerfully promoted on a nationwide scale, with the result that a fundamental change was brought about in the realm of the agricultural officials' and working people's understanding of wheat farming, scientific farming methods, experiences and solid foundations were provided for the growth of wheat production and the fields under wheat cultivation continuously expanded every year. This year alone saw an increase of more than 30,000 hectares of fields under wheat cultivation as against last year.
Amid the ever-increasing wheat production through the heated campaign for scientific farming and enthusiastic emulation for increasing crop yields, the wheat and barley harvest was concluded in the right time this year to overfulfil the national plan of grain production. The wheat production is expected to increase more than three times as against 2021. And 34 high-yielding counties, 664 high-yielding farms and many high-yielding workteams, sub-workteams and farmers were produced.
The rich wheat and barley harvest reaped in the major thrust area of the socialist economic construction is a clear proof of the validity and vitality of the new agricultural policy of the WPK and a brilliant fruition of the revolutionary creativity and the spirit of thorough implementation of the Korean people who keep as their faith the truth that the plan and decision of the Party Central Committee are science, practice and victory and support them with single-hearted loyalty.
