An intensive workshop of officials in the field of construction took place in the capital city of Pyongyang between the 18th and the 24th.
The workshop was aimed at improving the practical ability of officials in the field of construction and solving the urgent problems arising in carrying on the construction revolution such as the qualitative strengthening of the construction forces.
Vice-Premier Kim Jong Gwan made an opening address.
He said the intensive workshop of officials in the field of construction is held at the direct proposal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and under his meticulous guidance.
He declared the workshop open, expressing the belief that the workshop, which is held at the important time of key importance witnessing the period of great prosperity of construction and a new history of regional construction unprecedented in the history of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, will be an epochal occasion in enabling the officials in the field of construction to lead the implementation of the Juche-oriented construction idea and policy of the Workers' Party of Korea with high political consciousness and technical and practical abilities as the core and pivot for the construction revolution in the new era.
Kim Tok Hun, Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, courteously conveyed the instructions on the work of the construction sector given by Kim Jong Un.
Then, lectures on theoretical and practical issues arising in the construction sector were given, calling for more correctly applying the architectural idea and construction policy of the WPK to practice, firmly ensuring professionalism in the construction organization and guidance and rapidly intensifying the construction force with the training of skilled workers in the main.
A video program was screened, which introduced efficient and advanced construction methods, building materials, modern construction equipment and tools.
During the workshop, the participants saw the way of work and life of officers and men of the construction educators' unit at the construction site of the Kangdong County Hospital in the city of Pyongyang.
