Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A delegation of Korean women officials on a visit to Russia at the invitation of the "Russian Women's Union" developed cooperation between the DPRK and Russia women organizations and deepened the feeling of friendship through its diverse exchange activities.

A friendly meeting between the delegation of Korean women officials and members of the Russian Women's Union took place in Moscow on July 22.

Speeches were made at the meeting attended by the delegation of Korean women officials led by Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the DPRK mission in Russia, the chairwoman and other major figures of the Russian Women's Union and members of the Russian foreign ministry.

Kim Jong Sun said that the meeting is a peculiar and significant meeting demonstrating at home and abroad the common desire and will of the women of the two countries to uphold the noble intention of the top leaders of the DPRK and Russia.

The Korean women will make a substantial contribution to the development of the strategic and cooperative relations between the DPRK and the Russian Federation which greeted a historic turning point in close cooperation with the Russian women, she stressed.

The chairwoman of the Russian Women's Union said that the visit of the delegation of women officials of the DPRK, a genuine fraternal country, would mark an important occasion in developing dialogue, exchange, friendly and cooperative relations between the women's organizations of the two countries.

Noting that the invincibility of the Russia-DPRK friendship is clearly proved by the top leaders of the two countries, she expressed the will of her union to fulfill its mission and role in further boosting the bilateral cooperative relations.

The participants watched photos dealing with the undying feats performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations and videos showing the happiness of the DPRK women and the work of the Russian Women's Union.

A cooperative agreement on the development of friendly relations between the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and the Russian Women's Union was signed.

Meanwhile, the delegation of Korean women officials visited the building of the State Duma of Russia on July 23.

When the delegation of Korean women officials entered a room for invited guests in the hall, all the deputies to the State Duma stood up to welcome it warmly at the proposal of Byacheslav Wolodin, the speaker of the State Duma.

Expressed at a meeting and talk with the first vice-chairwoman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma and other women deputies were the unshakable support and solidarity of the DPRK women with the Russian people and women in their struggle to defend the sovereignty, security interests and territorial integrity of the country.

During the stay, the delegation toured a museum on Poklonnaya Hill and other places in Moscow. -0-
