Officials in the sector of construction are taking detailed measures to prevent damage in the rainy season in a far-sighted way, fully conscious that it is an important issue in ensuring the speed and quality of construction.
Especially, measures are being taken to uninterruptedly carry out the construction projects at a high qualitative level at the construction site of the fourth-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area while preparing in advance to cope with possible emergency situations there in the rainy season.
Looking back upon the disaster prevention work in the past, officials of the construction headquarters are finding out more shortcomings, though they are tiny, rather than successes to take meticulous measures.
While making every construction unit conduct in a methodological way the work to thoroughly guarantee the lives and safety of builders against lightning and thunder, they see to it that the relevant departments, including those in charge of materials and construction, find out all factors that might affect the project in the rainy season to liquidate them in time.
They are also taking measures to make sure that the relevant construction units secure plenty of materials to be used in the rainy season and shorten the period of construction progress to the minimum.
Accordingly, different construction units are taking steps to finish the waterproofing of roof, the last process of framework building, in a qualitative way, install lightning conductors on buildings, clean ditches and protect construction equipment from flood and typhoon.
Meanwhile, positive efforts are being made to prevent electrical equipment and power lines at the construction site from being damaged by flood and rainstorm.
In addition, successes continue to be expanded, as detailed measures are taken to push ahead with construction projects without interruption even in the rainy season at construction sites across the country, such as those of regional industry factories and rural houses in 20 cities and counties including Taegwan, Paechon and Puryong counties.
