Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province in the DPRK is concentrating its efforts on implementing the provincial economic development plan.
On the basis of the experience gained in establishing the production processes and assembling equipment at the regional-industry factories in Kim Hyong Jik County, it is taking practical measures to renew the production lines of regional-industry factories.
The Taehongdan County Potato-processing Factory completed the technical upgrading of the overall production processes, and the Chongbong General Foodstuff Factory is remodeling in a streamlined way the lines for producing sugar-coated beans and pop-rice cakes.
The Hyesan Essential Plastic Goods Production Station is securing the equipment needed for establishing the plastic pipes production line after supplying the products for the rural housing construction in the province during the first half of the year.
The province helps the cities and counties work out the plans for using their locally available raw and other materials and implement them by emulating the success of Kim Hyong Jik County, which makes soaps with its locally available materials
The city and county raw materials bases are producing raw materials needed for keeping the production at regional-industry factories going at a high rate.
While pressing ahead with the construction of the regional-industry factories planned this year, including the rebuilding of the Hyesan Condiments Factory, the province is paying attention to training skilled workers. -0-
