Frameworks of more than 100 apartment houses completed, successes expanded in building public service facilities

Thanks to the devoted efforts of the soldier and civilian builders to carry out the five-year plan for the capital city construction decided by the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the fourth-stage 10 000 flats construction site in the Hwasong area is changing every day, morning or evening.
According to data available, the builders, who hastened the schedule for changes with amazing feats in the past four years, have finished the construction of frameworks of over a hundred apartment houses at a go and keep expanding the successes in the construction of the public buildings and service facilities.
It is the grand ambition of the Party to turn the area into a model administrative district of Pyongyang where everything needed for the life of its inhabitants is properly provided.
The headquarters for the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang organizes demonstrations to encourage the active application of rational construction methods for ensuring quality of construction, thus enabling all units to build model structures symbolic of the era of change.
Soldier-builders are pushing ahead with the overall construction at a lightning speed, especially the construction of projects which can be affected by the rainy season.
They have expanded the construction successes by reinforcing the skilled workers for each process and raising the operating rate of construction machines to save plenty of time in keeping with the overall three-dimensional construction including the construction of houses and various service facilities and land cleaning.
Officials and builders of the Phyongjin construction management bureau regiment under the brigade of the Pyongyang Construction Commission are registering good results in construction every day while saving a lot of manpower and materials by actively applying the method of prefabricated construction. They have created new standards and records by ensuring the specialized execution of work to coordinate all processes in a streamlined way.
Internal and external plastering of apartment houses and huge construction projects of public buildings are dynamically being pushed ahead at the construction site where a new magnificent street has taken shape.
