The World Health Organization is raising voice to condemn Israel for having recently made an air raid on the WHO medical supplies storehouse in the Gaza Strip and detained its staff members and their families.
The medicine storehouses and facilities in Gaza are the pivots for its activities and the objects to be protected under any circumstances, the WHO said, adding that the threats to them are those to the whole humanitarian health care.
Strongly demanding once again the unconditional and immediate release of its detained staff members and hostages, it called for protecting all its staff members and facilities and rapidly providing food, fuel and medicines and expanding the supply of them.
Israel’s atrocities in Gaza are unimaginably heinous crimes against humanity.
The Israeli forces induced Palestinians to go to a food supply centre established by a humanitarian foundation in Gaza as if to provide them with food, and indiscriminately attacked them, killing many of them. And they even harmed medical workers by firing at ambulances.
The Gaza Strip has turned into a vast concentration camp, a living hell, as people there are not provided with basic necessities for existence and life.
According to the local public health authorities on July 29, the number of Palestinians killed and injured has increased to 60 034 and 145 870 respectively since the beginning of the Israeli troops’ invasion in October 2023.
Israel is hell-bent on exterminating the Palestinians in an attempt to realize its ambition of building the “Great Empire of Israel" in the Palestinian territory including the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish and Brazilian presidents likened Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip to the Nazi holocaust of Jews and the Colombian President compared the Israeli army to the Nazi army.
An expert on the Middle East issue disclosed that Israel is trying to prevent Palestine from building an independent state by making it a fait accompli in the international community that the territory actually controlled by the Palestinians is shrinking.
The international community’s anger at and denunciation of Israel which is hell-bent on territorial expansion are continuously mounting.
