It was one day in January 1935, 90 years ago when President Kim Il Sung organized and led the anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory.
The expedition led by him was returning from north Manchuria.
The enemy found the expedition in the area of Tianqiaoling and followed it persistently.
The President, who was always leading the expedition in the vanguard despite the ceaseless battles against the enemies, hunger and cold, had a chill.
The members of the expedition in great surprise shed tears around him.
The President wanted to soothe them even in an indistinct consciousness but he could not.
He was impatient and painful that he could not stand up and the members fell down, so he shed tears.
Suddenly poetic sentiment flashed upon him. Although he was unable to speak due to sore throat by a high fever, he made a soldier lying near him dictate the words.
At first, he sang with the soldier and then the fallen soldiers rose up and sang together. The song is the immortal masterpiece "Song of Anti-Japanese War ".
The song touched the soldiers to the heart, representing the independent faith of the President that they should make revolution even if the sky falls down and arouse the people by their own efforts to liberate the country.
Singing the song, the anti-Japanese fighters grew up into steel-strong ranks under the guidance of the President and achieved the historic cause of national liberation. -0-
