Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Hyok Nam issued the following article titled "The Seoul ruler's despicable behavior as a scout for triangular military cooperation" on August 25:
A series of agreements were announced in the ROK-Japan summit held in Tokyo on August 23.
The ROK and Japan celebrated by themselves the outcome of the talks, saying that they would jointly open up the road of future-oriented mutual cooperation and that the "bonds and trust" were powerfully formed between them.
What merits attention is that the chief executive of the ROK did not forgot the begging message towards the master of the White House whom he would meet soon, saying that the firm cooperation between the ROK and Japan and between the ROK, U.S. and Japan is important before everything and the ROK and Japan agreed to make a cycle in which the development of the ROK-Japan relations leads to the intensification of the ROK-U.S.-Japan cooperation.
It would be right to say that the recent ROK-Japan summit was a diplomatic show caused by the uneasiness of Seoul, which aims to remove the "misunderstanding" of Washington.
Originally, the ROK ruler's visit to Japan drew public attention before its start as he violated the practice of the ROK diplomacy where its rulers visit the U.S. first after taking in office.
Without doubt, there is the U.S. distrust in the present ROK ruler and his worries as a servant of the U.S. at the background of his recent visit to Tokyo, which seems to ignore the tradition of pro-U.S. subservient diplomacy.
Lee Jae Myung used to spit out "hard-line remarks toward Japan" to win popularity during his days of representative of an opposition party. It is well known that he met with cold treatment and pressure from the U.S. as well as stern countenance of Japan after his assumption to power because of this "anti-Japanese" tendency.
So, he voluntarily took the journey to prove his pro-Japanese attitude in order to dispel the suspicion of his master and avoid the possible diplomatic disaster at the time of his visit to the White House by showing his firm attitude of "giving high priority" to the ROK-Japan relations, an axle of the U.S.-Japan-ROK triangular military alliance which plays a core means for implementing the U.S. foreign strategy.
What matters is that the excess desire of the Seoul ruler to prove the pro-Japanese creed in practical way will further worsen the security crisis in the region in the future.
It is a matter of common knowledge that the structure and function of the aggressive U.S.-Japan-ROK triangular military alliance will be further enhanced through the strengthening of cooperation between the ROK and Japan and this will have a grave effect on the situation on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia.
This is proved by the fact that he said the two countries would counter the "rapidly changing international situation" and strengthen cooperation worldwide on the basis of the U.S.-Japan-ROK cooperation, clamoring about the "complete denuclearization of the north".
This is an expression of Seoul's intention to actively participate in carrying out the Indo-Pacific strategy of the U.S., which is directing all efforts to seizing hegemony on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity. It heralds the more catastrophic security environment to be created in the near future.
Herein lies the danger of the ROK-Japan summit.
The reality clearly illuminates the despicable confrontational nature of the chief executive of the ROK who is using peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region as a bargaining chip, acting as a scout for realizing the aggressive U.S.-Japan-ROK triangular military cooperation in order to be within his American master's consideration.
The DPRK will never remain a passive onlooker to the worrying situation being created by the U.S. and its followers seeking hegemony. -0-
