Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Monday dedicated articles to the 65th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il 's start of the leadership of the revolutionary armed forces (August 25, 1960).
Rodong Sinmun says in a co-signed article that the Chairman had continued to lead the revolutionary armed forces for more than half a century since he visited the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army 65 years ago.
Thanks to the high-intensity forced march of the peerlessly brilliant commander, the DPRK has built up the strongest strength unprecedented in the history of the Juche revolution and the Korean revolution has demonstrated its dignity before the world as the invincible cause winning victory after victory despite all storms of history, the article notes, and goes on:
The history of building the revolutionary armed forces of Kim Jong Il is shining as a sacred history in which the KPA was trained into the army strong in ideology and faith, upholding in the vanguard the revolutionary cause of the leader with arms.
The ideology of the leader uniquely dominated the KPA and the whole army could be strengthened into invincible militant ranks sharing intention, step and destiny with the Supreme Commander and into the ranks of bullets and bombs defending the leader at the risk of their lives. This would have been unthinkable without the leadership of Kim Jong Il who put forward the original idea of building the revolutionary armed forces and wisely led it.
He directed great efforts to developing the defence industry in the whole period of his leadership over the revolutionary armed forces, thus providing the KPA with material and technical guarantee for winning victory in the confrontation with any enemy.
The eternality and purity of the Korean revolution are firmly guaranteed thanks to the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the Chairman's exploits in building the revolutionary armed forces pure and clean.
Minju Joson says in an article that the immortal exploits of the Chairman, who put the DPRK on the status of a world-class military power and a full-fledged nuclear weapons state in the grim period when the destiny of the country and people was decisive and successfully realized the centuries-old desire of the Korean people who have aspired after powerful military capability for self-defence will shine forever. -0-
