The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un led the officials and working people in the agricultural sector to give full play to their extraordinary spiritual strength in putting the country's agriculture on a definite upward trajectory.
On September 8, 2021, he had a photo taken with the labour innovators and meritorious persons who had participated in the celebrations of the 73rd founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and hosted a banquet at the headquarters building of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
That significant day he called the agricultural officials and workers to his side.
Appreciating their efforts for farming, he warmly grasped the hands of the excited agricultural officials and workers.
After a while, he said that during the past Fatherland Liberation War our farmers vigorously conducted a campaign to increase the wartime grain production, making a great contribution to defeating the armed invasion by the US imperialists and their vassal states and achieving victory in the war.
During the hard-fought war, Korean women took the handles of plow in place of the men on the front and when the paddy and dry fields were badly turned over by the bombing of the US air pirates, they rearranged them and sowed grains there to ensure the wartime food production without fail.
Kim Jong Un stressed that the officials and working people in the agricultural sector should live and work in the fighting spirit of the agricultural workers of the former generation who conducted the vigorous campaign for increased grain production during the past Fatherland Liberation War.
He added that we should work hard to increase the grain production and make ours a country with superfluous rice in the near future.
Today our farmers are devoting their patriotic mind to the overall development of socialism true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un.
