Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK people are recollecting with deep emotion the undying nation-building exploits of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Kim Il Sung put forward the Juche-oriented line of building a people's government during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
In the "Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland", he set forth the tasks for overthrowing the rule of the gangster-like Japanese imperialists and establishing a genuine Korean people's government by forming an anti-Japanese united front.
The people's revolutionary government established in the guerrilla bases under the guidance of the President became a historic root that gave origin to building a new state centered on the popular masses.
The President wisely led the struggle to build a genuine people's country on the liberated homeland (August 15, 1945).
In his works including "On Founding the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland", he advanced the most correct nation-building line and set it as the main orientation for solving the issue of power to build a democratic people's republic.
He ensured that local people’s committees at all levels were established by the people themselves on the basis of the thorough liquidation of the colonial ruling machinery of the Japanese imperialists and that the work of arming the masses with the nation-building line of the Workers' Party of Korea was firmly prioritized.
In those days, democratic reforms such as the publication of the Agrarian Reform Law, the Law on Nationalization of Major Industries, the Labour Law and the Law on Sex Equality were enforced, thus providing all conditions for building a new society in the country.
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea was founded on September 9, 1948 under the guidance of the President.
The foundation of the DPRK opened a new era of building a socialist state centered on the popular masses on the land of Korea for the first time in history and provided a powerful political weapon for victoriously advancing the cause of independence of the popular masses. -0-
