South Phyongan Province is speeding up the construction of one hundred and tens of pumping stations to irrigate tens of thousand hectares of paddy and non-paddy fields next year.
The province is directing efforts to creating and generalizing models so that all units can exchange and share their successes and experiences with each other, increasing the masses' enthusiasm. At the same time, it is pushing ahead with the supply of manpower, equipment and materials.
At present, a number of cities and counties including the city of Kaechon have finished the construction work of tens of pumping stations and other regions are also promoting it at the final stage.
The province is putting spurs to operating the already built irrigation facilities on a normal basis and expanding the success in the construction of pumping stations.
