The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Korea Friendship Association jointly hosted a reception in Beijing on September 18 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Present there at invitation were Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy staff members.
Present there were Yang Wanming, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and officials from the relevant units including the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Association for International Friendly Contact.
Speakers said at the reception that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and provided guidelines for further strengthening the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries through the meeting and talks with Comrade Xi Jinping.
They stressed that it is the steadfast stand of the parties and governments of the two countries to steadily develop the DPRK-China relations.
A performance was given by Chinese artistes at the reception.
