Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at his embassy on September 25 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

Present there on invitation were Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ryu Un Hae, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, officials concerned and members of the diplomatic corps here.

Present there were members of the Chinese embassy and Chinese guests staying here.

Wang Yajun made a speech at the reception.

Noting that the birth of new China strengthened the forces of global peace, democracy and socialism, he said that the PRC is dynamically advancing along the road of happiness of the people and prosperity of the nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

The traditional China-DPRK friendship continues to record a new chapter, he said, adding that the Chinese side, together with the DPRK side, has the willingness to thoroughly implement the important joint understanding achieved by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries and make greater progress in the China-DPRK relations.

He expressed the belief that the DPRK people would win a new and greater victory in the course of promoting the Korean-style socialist cause in the future under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Un .

Next, Kang Yun Sok made a speech.

Noting that the founding of the PRC was an event that brought about a radical turn in the development of China's history, he said that the Chinese nation has waged a vigorous struggle to build a socialist society with the Chinese characteristics for the past 76 years, thus increasing the comprehensive national power and international prestige of the country.

The DPRK-China friendship, which was provided and strengthened in the struggle for accomplishing the common cause, is now being developed as required by the new era thanks to the direct interest and wise leadership of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, he stressed.

He expressed the stand to make joint efforts with the Chinese comrades to develop the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations in line with the noble intention of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries in the future, too.

The participants toasted the good health of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the esteemed Comrade Xi Jinping, the prosperity of the PRC and the steady development of the DPRK-China relations of friendship and cooperation. -0-
