Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) received a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on Oct. 3.

The message said:

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea (October 10, 1945-October 10, 2025), the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam extends the warmest and sincerest congratulations to the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and all the Korean people, on behalf of the Communist Party of Vietnam and its people.

The founding of the Workers' Party of Korea was a significant event of historic significance in the revolutionary cause of the Korean people and the building and development of the state.

Over the past 80 years the WPK has steadily developed under the leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung , the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and Comrade Kim Jong Un and led the Korean people to brilliant successes in all realms of socialist construction and development.

The Communist Party and people of Vietnam warmly congratulate the Workers’ Party of Korea and its people on achieving the great successes.

We are convinced that the fraternal Korean people will in the future, too, achieve bigger successes in socialist construction and development under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

As Comrade President of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh said during his visit to the DPRK in 1957 that although Vietnam and Korea were far apart, they were close in mind, the Communist Party and people of Vietnam regard it as a great pleasure and pride to have fought together as true comrades and close brothers on the glorious revolutionary journey of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The friendly relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Workers' Party of Korea provided by Comrade President Ho Chi Minh and Comrade President Kim Il Sung have been steadily consolidated and developed.

The Communist Party, state and people of Vietnam always attach importance to the development of the Vietnam-DPRK relations and have the will to develop in the future, too, the cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries in a more efficient and substantial way in the interests of the peoples of the two countries so as to contribute to peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the rest of the world.
