A meeting was held in the capital city of Pyongyang on the 7th to present the letters of loyalty to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The letter-carrying relay racers who arrived in Pyongyang entered Kim Il Sung Stadium, the venue of the meeting, amid the warm welcome of citizens.

Present at the meeting were Pak Thae Song, Choe Ryong Hae and Jo Yong Won, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, chief secretaries of the provincial party committees, letter-carrying relay racers, participants in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, officials of commissions, ministries and national institutions, and officials, working people and youth and students in Pyongyang.

A speech was made by Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK.

He, upon authorization of the Party Central Committee, expressed deep thanks to the Party members and working people of different sectors from across the country who ran to the capital city of Pyongyang with the letters of loyalty presented to Kim Jong Un, the great leader of our Party and revolution, by the entire people and service personnel of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

He extended warm greetings to the members of the whole Party, the people across the country and the service personnel of the armed forces of the DPRK who devoted themselves at their revolutionary posts with firm trust in the Party and noble sincerity and to the members of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China and all other overseas compatriots who conveyed their ardent longing for the embrace of the socialist homeland to the venue of the significant festival.

He stressed that the gigantic miracles and changes in the homeland are a precious crystallization of the plan and energetic leadership of Kim Jong Un with an absolute view of service for the people and, at the same time, a fruition of the fervent loyalty and devoted efforts of our people and service personnel who regard his will as their ideal and demand of their life and support it with all their heart and soul.

He warmly called on all to firmly train themselves as genuine masters of the revolution purely carrying forward the baton of loyalty and patriotism and as honourable vanguard fighters in building the country and bravely advance toward a new victory.

The letters of loyalty presented to Kim Jong Un by the provinces, the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, the Korean People's Army, the Ministry of Public Security, the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China were courteously handed over to members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.

The meeting powerfully demonstrated the firm will of the entire people to make more strenuous efforts for the sacred cause of dynamically opening a new era of prosperity of our state under the leadership of the great Party Central Committee.
