Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Shining on the peak of victory is the sacred 80-year long history of the Workers' Party of Korea which has written the longest history in the world as the socialist ruling party in the militant course of fulfilling the most righteous mission and realizing the far-reaching ideal reliably shouldering the destiny of the country and the people.

The Workers' Party of Korea has led the great cause of building a rich country with a strong army along the road of all victories amid the absolute support and trust of the popular masses while purely and perfectly carrying forward its original ideals and spirit. The 80th founding anniversary of the WPK serves as a monument to glory shining with immortal feats of bringing the pretige and reputation of the great state and the great people to the top of the century with its outstanding revolutionary idea and leadership.

The military parade was held with splendour at Kim Il Sung Square on Oct. 10 in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The foot columns including the ones of various services and arms of the armed forces of the DPRK and columns of ultra-modern hardware were solemnly lined up on the avenues adjacent to Kim Il Sung Square.

The prestigious orchestra of the State Merited Chorus entrusted with the playing of music for the military parade entered the square.

Decorating the beginning of the military parade, the combined military band showcased a ceremony, touching the heartstrings of the audience with the strongly appealing and vibrant tune of the song of the revolutionary army.

Following the ever-changing rhythmic formation of the members of the band and the peculiar techniques displayed by woman soldiers with military sword, side drummers and members of the guard of honor showed smart skills with side drums and rifles.

After the ceremony of the military band, the columns of the parade entered the bright-light square in proud array.

The dignified faces of officers and soldiers of the parade units and the arms they held fast reflected the spirit of the vanguard ranks of devotedly defending the leader and the most powerful army remaining absolutely loyal and obedient to the ideas and leadership of the Party Central Committee.

The colors of the combined units at all levels of the Korean People's Army entered the square.

The colors of honor, associated with the proud history of the heroic army that has glorified the annals of legenday victories and miracles while remaining always faithful to the sacred appellation of the army of the Party and the leader upholding the red flag of the WPK as the first colors of the revolution, entered the square of the parade.

A ceremony was held by the guard of honor of the KPA to welcome the head of state.

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, reviewd the guard of honor of the KPA and colors of the combined units at all levels.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was received respectfully by commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence and military and political officers of the services and large combined units of the KPA.

Amid the playing of the welcome music, Kim Jong Un took the tribune of the square together with party and government heads of different countries.

The moment, thunderous cheers of "hurrah!" shook the earth and sky and fireworks of celebration were set off to decorate the nocturnal sky of October with fascinating sparks.

Kim Jong Un warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering participants in the military parade and masses.

Taking the tribune were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and other leading officials of the Party and the government, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, major leading personnel of the military and heads of the congratulatory groups of overseas compatriots.

Also taking the tribune were veteran cadres who had worked for a long time in important posts of the state.

Present at the reserved seats for guests were participants in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, members the delegations of foreign parties and governments, international democratic organizations and organizations for the study of the Juche Idea on their congratulatory visit to the DPRK, diplomatic envoys here, families of overseas Koreans related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and foreign guests.

Kim Jong Un and party and government heads of different countries received fragrant bouquets from children's union members.

There was a ceremony of hoisting the national flag of the DPRK.

The soldiers escorting the national flag solemnly marched toward the flagstaff, receiving salute from the colors of the combined units of the KPA at all levels.

Amid the solemn playing of the national anthem of the DPRK, the sacred national flag was slowly hoisted and flutterd strongly in the sky over Kim Il Sung Square.

A 21-gun salute was boomed in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The booming sound of the guns, which makes everyone recollect the 80 years of victory and glory, creation and change covered by our Party, reverberated the square.

Kim Jong Un made a historic speech.

He warmly welcomed the guests from all walks of life and dear friends from different countries invited to the military parade for celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK and extended warm congratulations to all the people across the country, service personnel of the People's Army and officers and soldiers of the parade units who have devoted their precious sweat of creation and labour and their sincerity to this October day of glory.

Highly appreciating the outstanding exploits of the KPA that defended the Party and the lifeline of the revolutionary cause and supported the Party's leadership most actively with the noble blood and sweat and heavy self-sacrifice in each and every stage of our revolution guided by our Party, he paid deep respect to the anti-Japanese forerunners and elders representing the sacred founder generation of our revolutionary armed forces and to the war veterans and officers and soldiers of the preceding generations who have supported the ideology and cause of our Party in the annals of the revolution with noble patriotism and heroic struggle.

Saying that in the future struggle, too, our army should glorify its dignity and honor as today, as the ranks of elite soldiers firmly armed with the ideas and will of the WPK, the ranks of strong soldiers that always win victory in every battle and the ranks of point-men who make a breakthrough in socialist construction, he ardently called for fighting more vigorously for the eternal victory of the DPRK and its people and for the mightiness and shinning glory of the KPA under the leadership of the WPK.

When Kim Jong Un finished his speech, officers and soldiers of parade units broke into thunderous cheers of "hurrah" representing the faith and iron will of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK to always display the matchless fighting spirit in the vanguard of the revolution courageously, holding in high esteem the great brilliant commander who brings about the great dignity, honor, eternal prosperity and happiness with his warm love for the country and people and boundless devotion to them.

Then followed a review of the preparations for the military parade.

Full General No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, reported to Marshal Pak Jong Chon, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, that the troops were lined up for the review of the preparations for the military parade.

Marshal Pak Jong Chon reviewed the troops.

He courteously reported to Kim Jong Un on the completion of the preparations for the military parade for celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The columns of the parade units of the armed forces of the DPRK started their grand march, led by Full General No Kwang Chol.

The column symbolic of the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment during the anti-Japanese war, marched past first, holding the portraits of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who created the brilliant tradition of defending the leader, regarding loyalty and trust in the leader as their lifeline.

The column symbolic of the guards units during the Fatherland Liberation War entered the square with their colours, holding the portraits of the warriors, former anti-Japanese guerrillas, and war heroes like human bombs who created the new legendary stories about victory unprecedented in the world history of war, true to the operational plan of President Kim Il Sung .

The column symbolic of the Seoul Guards 105th Mechanized Division and the column symbolic of the KPA Units that won the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment during the Arduous March marched past, holding the portraits of the loyal commanding officers who made a tangible contribution to firmly defending the idea and authority of their leader in grim years of the revolution when the country was compelled to overcome fateful difficulties unprecedented in history.

The symbolic columns were followed by the columns of the lifeguards units including the column of honorary cavalrymen, the column of the Guard Office of the Party Central Committee and the column of the Guard Department of the State Affairs Commission.

The columns of the corps, which defend the front of the southern border of the country like an impregnable fortress, marched past with pride, holding aloft the colours of the matchless corps, divisions and brigades that make the enemies tremble with fear when they hear only their names.

The commanders of the corps, divisions and brigades with long swords in their hand led the columns of the first-line field troops.

The columns of the Navy and the Air Force marched past in high spirits, led by their commanders.

The column of the Strategic Forces which firmly hold the nuclear treasured sword for self-defence and the column of the Special Operations Forces, the most powerful combat group, marched past with militant enthusiasm to inflict an unimaginable bitter defeat on the enemies at a decisive battle.

The column of the Unit for Mountain Warfare in the Enemy Rear which acts like a dagger for annihilating the enemies, the column of the Seaborne Assault Battalion which neutralizes every defence line and the column of the Overseas Operations Units which created the great new history of the KPA and fully demonstrated the mettle of Koreans with their militant bravery and legendary military feats to defend the honor and dignity of the country, marched past majestically to be reviewed by the great brilliant commander.

Kim Jong Un extended militant salute to the elite units firmly defending the inviolable sovereignty of the DPRK and the honor of the Korean people with absolute loyalty to the Party and matchless bravery.

The paraders shouted "hurrah!" at the top of their voices, looking up to the iron-willed brilliant commander who has developed our People's Army into an elite combat group overwhelming any formidable enemy ideologically, mentally, militarily and technically with his original idea of building a strong army in the new era and outstanding commanding art.

The columns of corps entrusted with the mission to defend the capital city Pyongyang, the columns of corps firmly defending the coastal areas and the rear of the country and the column of the General Border Guards Bureau defending the border vigorously passed through the square where the dignity and mettle of our revolutionary armed forces are towering.

The columns of the Tank and Armoured Division and the Mechanized Infantry Division, the powerful offensive groups with high manoeuvrability and overwhelming striking force, the column of the General Reconnaissance and Intelligence Bureau, and columns of specialist servicepersons including the columns of Snipers and Signalmen were filled with the will to annihilate the enemy.

Rocking the square were stormy cheers raised by the column of Kim Il Sung Military University, the highest institution of Juche-oriented military education, the column of Kim Jong Il Military and Political Academy, the central base for training the high-ranking military officers, the column of Kim Il Sung Political University, main base responsible for implementing the Party's line on making the Korean People’s Army politically and ideologically strong and a “pedigree farm” for cultivating heroism of our army, the column of Kim Jong Un University of National Defence, the highest defence sci-tech education institution in the DPRK, and columns of other military schools at all levels in reflection of their pledge to firmly guarantee the immortal mightiness and invincibility of our revolutionary armed forces.

The columns of the Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Public Security and the Special Task Force for Public Security marched past with redoubled courage to reliably defend the outposts for defending the leader, the social system and the people.

The audience extended warm congratulations and applauses to the vigorous and courageous march of the columns of revolutionary schools who are firmly preparing themselves as pillars to firmly carry forward the lifeblood of the Juche revolution.

The column of the Academy of Defence Sciences guaranteeing the tremendous development of the national defence capability and the building of a powerful and modernized army with boundless loyalty to the Party, firm revolutionary spirit, high scientific and technological strength and indomitable mettle of creation dynamically marched past the square.

The dynamic march of the column of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the column of the Children's Guards decorated the final of the march by the foot columns, demonstrating that the WPK and the DPRK are solid and strong as they have the powerful paramilitary forces along with the invincible regular army.

Then the glorious columns of mechanized units made appearance at the parade. The units are the creations of the self-defensive national defence-building exploits of the WPK which has pushed ahead with the bolstering of the national defence capability without a moment's delay and brought about a rapid leap forward despite all difficulties in the present grim world where the confrontation between force and force decides the rise and fall of the state and people.

The column of Chonma-20 tanks, the modern-type main battle tanks with tremendous striking capability and reliable protection system, passed through the square with the will to annihilate the enemies. And it was followed by the column of 155mm self-propelled gun howitzers, which showcases the might of the artillery force, the first arms of the KPA.

When the core offensive weapon systems of new generation capable of delivering precision strikes at enemy's major targets and the column of 600mm MLRSs, the unique ultra-modern weapon of Juche Korea in the world, entered the square, the audience warmly welcomed them with enthusiastic cheers and handclaps.

The latest weapons are associated with the far-sightedness, resolute decision, iron faith and boundless devotion of the WPK which laid the foundations for the arsenal industry first of all after the liberation in order to defend the dignity and well-being of the country and the people and genuine peace and brought about epochal miracles in building the military capability for self-defence while overcoming the innumerable trials on the untrodden path.

The columns of long-range strategic cruise missile systems, drones, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missile systems passed through the square one after another, demonstrating the inexhaustible potentiality of defence technology and eye-opening development speed of the DPRK which the world cannot ignore.

The strategic weapon systems, entities of absolute strength that form the essence of the military capability for self-defence steadily bolstered up by the WPK to defend the right to existence and development which the DPRK must make no compromise over and peace, entered the square shaking the earth.

The columns of missile systems loaded with hypersonic gliding vehicles and hypersonic intermediate-range strategic missile systems moved through the square.

The spectators broke into the most enthusiastic cheers when the column of Hwasongpho-20 ICBMs, the most powerful nuclear strategic weapon system of the DPRK, entered the square, filling the track.

All the participants extended their highest glory and gratitude to Kim Jong Un , the great revolutionary, peerless patriot and peerlessly illustrious commander who is ushering in a new era of heroic Korea when the long-cherished desire of the 5 000-year history, the great cause of building a rich country with a strong army, is being successfully achieved as he is leading in the vanguard the cause of patriotic struggle for the sovereignty of our state, its development interests and the prosperity of all generations to come.

When the military parade was over, stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" resounded through the square again and the night sky of October was alight with beautiful fireworks of celebration.

Kim Jong Un warmly acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the crowd.

The square was overflowed with the thoughts and feelings of all the people determined to become a harmonious whole to realize all dreams and greet all glories of life only under the red Party flag of Juche forever while paying the highest tribute to the dignified WPK on its 80th founding anniversary.

The military parade to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK will shine forever as a grand political and military festival which showed the world that thanks to the WPK, the party of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un , there are the immortal dignity and prestige of our great state, the heroic life and future of our great people and the fame and invincibility of our great army, and as a historic event which demonstrated to the whole world the unshakable will of all the people and the service personnel to remain forever loyal to the cause of the Party. -0-
