The Korean people follow the Workers' Party of Korea, calling it mother.

The motherly party is not a word defined by a thinker, a politician or a leader of the working class. It is an appellation given by the Korean people from the bottom of their hearts.

In 1964, the song "Oh, the Mother Party" was created on the threshold of the 20th founding anniversary of the WPK. It was the first song that praised the WPK as mother.

For those years, which cannot be said to be long, our Party brought about gigantic social changes and enforced policies for the people in succession.

Ordinary working people became masters of the country and nobody worried about food, clothing and housing.

The Party's benefits shown equally to everybody on this land were as warm as the mother's loving care for her children. The song reflected the earnest ideological sentiment of the people that they cannot live even a moment if they let go of the Party's hand.

As the mother's love never changes, so the love of our Party for the people remains unchanged.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, leads our Party to be a motherly Party that takes all work for the people upon itself and shows warm sincerity to them.

Even a bit of mental agony of the people becomes the pain of the Party and the people's wish the cherished desire of the Party.

The WPK adopted a lot of popular policies including those on building 50,000 flats to provide the capital citizens with more stable and civilized living conditions, on supplying the children across the country with dairy products and other nourishing foods at the state expense and on providing the pupils and students throughout the country with school uniforms and things, the rural construction policy on turning all the rural villages into rich and cultured socialist utopias in the near future and the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" for putting the living standards of the regional people on a higher level on a nationwide scale.

People are enjoying a new and happy life every day along with the Party's policies reflecting their demand and aspiration.

The true features of the motherly Party are found in the structures built for the people and in the happy people.

Professor and Doctor Choe Nam Sun, Dean of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, is famous for the song "I Love My Mother" widely sung by the Korean people. She says:

"When I entitled the song 'I Love My Mother', I was reminded of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who shows all loving care to the children and students, rather than my mother who brought me up. He provides the children across the country with new school uniforms every year and minds their sizes. But his clothes are wet all the time, I admit. Though wet with sweat in summer and frozen in winter for protecting us from the heavy snowstorm, his clothes are the warmest bosom in the world.

The song represents this long-standing thought of mine."

The eruption of strong emotion from inmost heart is the most beautiful song.
