The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, sent a reply message to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, on October 16.
The message said:
I express thanks to you for having sent warm congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.
On the occasion of the October holiday, I could feel once again the special friendly feelings and invariable support of yours and the Chinese party and people toward our Party and people.
It is a consistent stand of our Party and government of the DPRK to wonderfully carry forward the tradition of the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations and further strengthen and develop them as required by the new era.
We will, positively promote the vigorous development of the DPRK-China friendly relations in the joint struggle of realizing the socialist cause together with the Chinese comrades in the future, too, making a contribution to improving the well-being of the two peoples and safeguarding the stability of the region and the world.
I wish the Chinese people greater achievements in the journey of attaining the goals set by the 20th Party Congress successfully and building a socialist modern state in a comprehensive way under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with you as the core.
