80th Founding Anniversary of Choson Sinbo Observed in Japan

Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo, Japan on October 17 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of Choson Sinbo, the organ of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and concurrently director of the Organizational Department, Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and concurrently director general of the General Affairs Department, department directors and officials of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, and officials, journalists and editors of the Choson Sinbo Company and officials of Chongryon in the Kanto area. First Vice-Chairman Pak Ku Ho made a congratulatory speech. Referring to the fact that Choson Sinbo significantly greets its 80th founding anniversary under the special care of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, he underscored the need for the officials of the Choson Sinbo Company to bear in mind the instructions of the respected Marshal who called for writing a great new history of the movement of Koreans in Japan by carrying forward the patriotic spirit of the founder generation and carry out them without fail. Introduced at the meeting were congratulatory messages from the Rodong Sinmun and other media organs of the homeland. Then Director of the Choson Sinbo Company Rim Wang Ho made a report. The reporter said that the course of 80 years was the one of glory covered by Choson Sinbo under the outstanding leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. He expressed his resolve to work responsibly to improve the contents and forms of Choson Sinbo and usher in a new era of Chongryon's prosperity in conformity with the mission of the times and the changing circumstances with the ambition to write a new Juche-oriented overseas media history in the great era of Kim Jong Un by inheriting the spirit and tradition of the founder generation. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
