Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- In the sacred course of ushering in a new era of the great national rejuvenation, all the members of the Workers' Party of Korea and other people in the DPRK are significantly greeting the 35th anniversary of the autograph reply letter sent by Chairman Kim Jong Il to the members of the then second Party cell of the Fifth Department of the Korean Central News Agency.

On November 1, 1990, the Chairman sent his autograph reply letter after reading a simple letter from the cell Party members who pledged to go along the road of the revolution to the last, following the Party forever.

Under the severe situation that socialism collapsed in various countries in the early 1990s, he ushered in the beginning of transforming all the Party cells into the ones of loyalty with the confidence that when all the Party cells forming the WPK are transformed into the group of loyalty like the second Party cell of the Fifth Department of the KCNA, can the organizational and ideological strengthening of the Party ranks be vigorously stepped up.

Amid the brisk movement for creating the Party cells of loyalty with the second Party cell of the Fifth Department of the KCNA as a model, he convened the grand gatherings of the secretaries of the Party cells. They served as an epochal turning point in consolidating the might of the WPK in every way as required by a new high stage of the developing revolution.

The First Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK, convened in May 1991, recorded its first page in the history of the Party building as an important occasion in expanding the movement for creating the Party cells of loyalty throughout the Party.

After learning in detail about the movement, the Chairman made sure that the Party cells, the basic organizations of the WPK, were further consolidated into a solid cornerstone upholding the leader with sincerity and firmly defending Korean-style socialism, through the Second Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK in March 1994.

The Third Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK held in October 2007 marked a turning point in further enhancing the functions and role of the Party cells and developing in depth the movement for creating the Party cells of loyalty as required by the building of a socialist power.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is comprehensively developing in depth the idea and theory of building the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party, the great heyday of strengthening the basic organizations of the WPK was opened up in the new era of the Juche revolution.

The Fourth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK held in January 2013 under the guidance of Kim Jong Un was recorded in the history of the WPK as an important landmark in strengthening the Party cells to consolidate the militant might of the Party in every way and in improving the appearance of the WPK as the motherly Party sharing its destiny with the popular masses.

"Let Us Strengthen Party Cells into Loyal Cells, into Vanguard Ranks for the Implementation of the Party's Policies", the historic speech made by Kim Jong Un at the Fifth Conference of Cell Chairpersons of the WPK, is an important guideline that clarifies the path to further strengthen the Party cells and enhance the leadership ability and fighting efficiency of the Party in every way as required by a new high stage of the developing revolution.

The Sixth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK, was recorded in the history of the Juche-oriented Party building as a gathering that developed and enriched the Party's unique idea of building the basic organizations and indicated clear guidelines of action for the cell secretaries of the whole Party. It served as a significant occasion in modeling the entire Party and the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism by further reinforcing the foundation of the Party and consolidating our revolutionary ranks and in making a remarkable advance for implementing the decisions of the Party Congress and building socialism.

A number of Party cells are now being strengthened organizationally and ideologically as befitting the basic organizations of the glorious WPK and are demonstrating their might as the vanguard organizations of the Party, Party cells of loyalty with invincible fighting efficiency. -0-
